Is this why the Republicans are going down in flames?
October 5th, 2009 Posted by: admin
It’s true. Let’s be real. If nobody noticed until now, McCain is ‘OLD’. I don’t mean just in years, I mean in some stodgy, 1950’s world-that-never-was way. “I did this and I did that, my friends.” That’s old folks home BS. Obama by contrast is 21st century, articulate, nuanced, insightful, has a firm grasp of 21st century reality, understands full well that as president he has to move almost all of our social institutions out of Ozzy and Harriet’s house, kiss the Cleavers goodbye and stop loving Lucy! History is happening at an accelerated pace, driven by technology, a rising world populations composed of mostly **** poor people, an aging US population, climate change, outdated and unregulated financial giants, lunatic religious warlords financed by various oil rich thugocracies and a rapidly falling level of education appropriate to our times. We have a bloated military designed to re-fight WW2 tasked with fighting two losing wars using massive amounts of borrowed money, an oil and coal only energy policy and the possibility of pandemics of airborne disease that we’re not equipped to even contemplate much less combat. The list goes on. McCain is in love with his ‘experience’, but nobody has experience in the future. That’s why it takes the smartest man in the room to elect as our chief executive. McCain is as outdated as the Model T. Obama is as close to ‘right now’ as we’re going to get. Thinking people recognize that. That’s why he won. McCain is ‘OLD’, that’s why he ‘lost’!

We need a 21st century president to solve 21st century problems. McCain can’t even use a computer, and they had to take his cell phone away from him. He has 13 cars, but how many of them is he allowed to drive at night?

it is *STILL* ‘the economy, stupid’
and Republicans lose when the economy is tanking
October 19th, 2009 at 17:57
I am confused. You don’t want a president with experience. you don’t want a president with proven record. Maybe you want a president who would look good in a Jockey underwear ad instead.
October 22nd, 2009 at 06:38
No its the economy. McCain in his debates have the same plan as Bush on the economy and most Americans know it didn’t work with Bush so why would it work with McCain. If McCain had a real plan and could explain it like Obama the race would be more close.

Republicans are hurting because they are tired of carrying all the liberals and their social agenda’s on their backs.
How about you libs get out of your parents houses, get jobs, start paying taxes and we will see how long you remain with your zero output party.
October 27th, 2009 at 08:51
well you also have to take into account the Obama has an old VP and McCain has a young VP. Plus i would rather have an experienced president and unexperienced VP then visa-versa
October 30th, 2009 at 01:21
Great job on disguising your rant as a question!
Haha this is great… A heart beat away…
Just keep being a mindless zombie and getting your new from CNN, PBS, ABC, NBC, BBC, etc…
You really think the Republicans are going down in flames? Come on, now…

Its because Americans have become superficial and we have become an American Idol nation. Very few people understand the issues, most are driven by emotion rather than intellect.

Obamas ideas are no different than Jimmy Carter’s. get ready for massive stagflation. Talk about living in the past. You probably were not around for that pain. Get used to your mom and dad’s couch.

Last time I checked the election had not yet taken place for anyone to be declaring a winner or loser. It is this very arrogance that will cost the Dems the election and please do not tell me about these ridiculous polls that time and time again history has shown them to be incorrect!

I agree totally. Especially with the idea about finding the smartest man for the job, not just somebody who is more like the average American. I think that W has proven that that is not the best way to choose a president. People are finally coming around to the idea that maybe smart and a little bit elite is a good thing. You don’t want an ordinary person as leader of the free world. You want an extraordinary person with an amazing personality and ability to communicate. Now Bush has one hell of a personality, I’ll give him that. If I saw that guy in a bar, I would drink with him until I was kicked out of the bar! But I’m sorry, this guy’s attitude and lack of ability to communicate has all but destroyed this country. McCain represents more of that, and I will be thrilled when Barack Obama becomes our President, and restores the USA to what it can and should be in the world.

Well spoken and truly laid out!
They are so stuck in time; changes can only bring hope and better scope; Why are they so afraid of changes and Obama!
Wake up! oh you Republicans change of heart can only be good for you.
November 10th, 2009 at 01:15
Everything you said is right on point! Thank you. Two things I would add though are that McCain is also just plain mean and a liar. Those two things really did him in too!
November 11th, 2009 at 18:25
I agree with you fully!
November 12th, 2009 at 21:49
Awwww…not you know your going to get some Nasty Republicans to comment on here.Did you see the crowd jeers for Palin? She was talking about Obama and they were cheering “kill-em” and now Mccain says”him over there”…lmao. You know your going to get some computer savvy Klansman on here…but I like your comment. It’s true but we have some serious “die hard” conservative evangelicals on this site.If they knew you address they would burn some crosses on your lawn…Lmao.Make sure your information is protected
November 14th, 2009 at 16:07
nice try but think of this… The Baby Boomers… I know you have heard of them. They are the average age of 52-55 right now… Do you really think they want Obama, a younger person in the white house with no experience what so ever? At this time and age. Oh and did I mention that 85% of them will vote. Now, Borack may have the younger vote but how many actually do.
November 16th, 2009 at 08:07
I do agree that experience does not always guarantee a wise leader.
However, you need to check some of your facts. The military is not bloated, but in fact undersized. Look into it and you will see all of the reports of how stretched it is and the pace of operations on the soldiers.
November 17th, 2009 at 13:29
You are very disrespectful to the older people of our country. They have a lot of wisdom and experience that is valuable, it would do you good to sit and listen to them. Would you speak this way of your grandfather? The world was better in Ozzy and Harriet days.
No one does have experience in the future. If you have taken a history class you would know that great lessons are learned in the past and can be applied to the future.
I fear that disrespectful people like you are the leaders of tomorrow.
November 20th, 2009 at 07:20
I think his age is of concern, especially when he picked Palin as his VP, with no experience and half a brain. Also, McCain held Bush’s hand for too long and now it’s impossible for him to distance himself from him and his failed policies.
November 22nd, 2009 at 15:16
DON’TCHAKNOW…going down in flames…at least they can fly…what a waste of time, talk about biased…old…O.K. When you are crying out for help, just know that we will be there…Wait, you may have been an abortion…

The Republicans are going to their hell they have fabricated in their own heads. Some Republicans are already ashamed of what the Bush administration have made them out to be. Many still deny how they are ’sinning’, but one day they may realize how.
November 24th, 2009 at 03:18
When you get old and your children or grandchildren ask you for advice, what are you going to tell them? ” Well I am to old you need to ask the 2 year old what you need to do.” I mean really??? Come on!!
November 27th, 2009 at 04:59
A few days ago the republicans were ahead, then W announced the bailout plan and people got angry. The reason the republicans are in trouble is that W did’nt stop the creative bookkeeping that was going on during the last 16 years that brought about this crisis, and that can be blamed on Clinton and the democrats as well as the republicans.
If the GOP spends enough on negative ads they can still turn things around.
November 28th, 2009 at 23:51
I’m old as well, and by the sound of it, a lot older than you.
The problem is that you are right.
The Bush and McCain war heros, as well as the Reagon cowboy days are over.
The Americans are hated all over the world because of these idiots, liars, fanatics and so on.
If you don’t believe me, try wrapping yourself in an American flag and try running through other parts of the world and survive.
The American people have been tricked, and brainwashed by a few greedy fanatics. Lets face it, they didn’t go to Iraq to rid Sadaan because he is a tyrant. BUSH supplied him with gases to use against his own people. The guy was definately no good, but, he did get conned by the Bushs’. The Bushs`ARE in the OIL business, and they WERE associated with the Ben Ladin family. Smell the coffee.
They should have bombed Iraq with washers and dryers, tv’s and other goodies. Americans would have been loved by the Iraquis and over 4000 USA lives would still be with us as well as your money.
These “guys” should definately be tried for “TREASON“ as well as murder.
Remember, the other side of the coin is, that The Axes of Evil countries are arming themselves because they fear the fanatics in the US government.
I could go on and on, but wouldn`t be allowed to publish all the treachery around YOU the American People.
NB: How long could you keep taking oil OUT of the earth before the collapses occur. There is a reason why the oil is there isn“t it? Common Sense.
