why is getting the “flu shot” bad?

I’ve been reading some articles about it lately, and it hasn’t been good, then why do they offer it at local drugstores like walgreens etc? I want to get it, because I **** getting sick, but is it really that bad?

What would prompt a visit to your home by the Health Dept?

My husband is almost 24 years old and about once or twice a month he pukes with no flue symptoms, i need help?

Ok, so like i said 24, pukes prefusely once or twice a month, no flu or other sickness symptoms…WHAT IS CAUSING THIS?? He gets up and he is ok in the morning but if he trys to do to much or drive a car he pukes up everything that hes eaten and more. There is no warning to this and it only started about two months ago. We have noticed that there is some what of a link between cigarette smoke and this but like i said it hasnt been going on long enough to say that is a solid reason. Also one of the teeth in the back of his mouth are bad and probably need pulled but its not even hurting him. I honestly cant think of any other reason why someone his age and in his past health (which by the way he hasnt been sick since he was a kid) would be having this problem. Everytime we go to a doc they give us antibiotics and anti-nausea medicine but it keeps coming back! I really need some suggestions for the doctor to check up on please!

I have swollen Pelvic Lymph Nodes?

For about a month and a half a lot of my pelvic Lymph Nodes have been enlarged. They are rock hard to the touch and cause me no pain. About a month ago I did see my GYN and he said not to worry. I do have endometriosis, which I had surgery for last October. I can’t seem to get any answers as to if they can swell because of endometriosis. I went to see my regular medical doctor the other day, and they scared me throwing the word cancer around and are sending me to an oncologist. I really believe that this could be from my female problems. Has anybody ever experienced any of this before? Please help. Also, no I do not have any kind of STD. My husband and I have been happily married for the past 10 years and I actually was tested before my surgery, so a std is not a cause for the swollen lymph nodes. I do have horrible night sweats as well, but I have a lot of female problems. My white blood cell count is too low also, but that was tested when I had the flu. Please help!

Why does my Budgie do this?

My Avian vet is not in right now and my budgie keeps on extending his neck and opening his beak as if he is trying to regurgitate! He will eat but then he will do this. I offer him water and it goes away but will come back in an hour or so.
He still eats and drinks normally and does his singing. So should I take him to see another avian vet?
He is about 11 months old.
Please help! Kiwi (my budgie) is my first pet and sadly my other one Jasper died. Could the extended neck and beak opening be related to Jasper’s death? (Jasper died about a month ago…..)

Causes and cures of vaginal yeast infection?

I got a yeast infection about 3/4 days ago.. The burning now is not as intense as it was then, but it still bugs me a great deal.
This is the first time this has happened to me, so I dont really understand what causes a yeast infection.I heard that tampon pads may cause it, if they do, could I use tampons again. Also, I know that you can buy over the counter medicine like Vagisil and Monistat, but could this infection heal by itself? Does yogurt help?

How long is the Flu contagious for?

I started feeling bad Friday night. I went to the doctor yesterday morning and I was positive for the flu. I still haven’t got my prescription because everywhere my dad called said they won’t have it in till monday. I have been resting a lot. and I am a pretty healthy person and don’t get sick often. but how long will I be contagious for and should i go to school tomorrow?
I really have no appetite and have only ate a few crackers all week and drank a bottle or ginger ale yesterday and got more today

what COLD food can i take to a memorial day party?

i’m going to a memorial day shuffleboard tournament and don’t have time to make anything b/c it’s all weekend. i need suggestions on what COLD food i can buy that is not overly expensive. there will be about 50-60 adults. i don’t have time to mess with crockpot either.

question about having an illness during university?

Hi - I am using my kid sister’s acount here. I am in university, in my first year of grad school. For the last two months or so I have been constantly tired and ill. It was starting to affect my school work so I went to the doctor who told me that I had developed a form of deviated septum which was causing sleep apnea which was compromising my immune system which was causing me to get the flu like every two weeks and being constantly sleep deprived. The doctor said that with my sleep apnea, despite the fact that I was in bed sleeping for 8 hours per night, i was really only getting about 3 hours of good sleep!! Should I let my profesors know about all of this so that they don’t think that I am some sort of bad student? I have not been at my best acedemicaly for the last two months.

3. Fever for a while
And just yesterday I noticed these weird, red bumps on the back of my tongue.
What do I have?
