Is it a good idea to reduce a fever caused by influenza?

My wife has come down with the flu and the doctor prescribed Tamaflu to reduce the pain and fever. I’m just wondering, if a fever is the body’s way of killing the invading virus, is it such a good idea to take a drug that will drastically reduce your temperature? She’s been at about 102 degrees when the drug wears off.

rite syndrome?

I am looking for anyone who can tell me about rite syndrome, i’m not sure of the spelling, but everything i have looked up on google under all the different spellings has not had symptoms close to those that are involved with the situation i am looking for. I was told my son (who passed away recently) may have had rites syndrome, the doc told me this affects the liver & can cause seizures. It is affected by the influenza bug… this is all i know, is there any one out there who can help me with this please?

Does the flu effect the ability to conceive?

My husband has had the flu for the past week and is finally feeling a little better today. I feel like I am starting to come down with it. We have been trying to conceive and I have been tracking my ovulation. My most fertile days are between Mar 3 and Mar 8…. will this nasty influenza virus effect our chances of conceiving? Can a fever effect the chances?

I went to the doctors about 10 minutes ago and she said I have influenza B, and they gave me a medication, but i’m really cold.. does that have something to do with influenza B? i’m wearing a hoodie and a blanket and i’m freezing.. and I had a icey cold soda..like 20 minutes ago.
