What blood pressure medicine causes the least number of side effects?

I’m 26, F and have unexplained high bp. I don’t like ACE inhibitors as I always seem dizzy and coughing and have trouble fighting off colds. Any good recommendations?

I have a 13 year old cat who often gets colds,but now her nose is really stuffed i can hear that its hard for her to breathe,i called the vet and asked if i could get the medicine they usually give her but they want to see her and i dont have the money for the visit,Is there any home remedies anyone knows?

I have been ill for a week…it has been getting worse and I have only felt this way once, when I had pneumonia.
2 CommentsI have a terrible cough, the kind that makes you feel like your choking! I also find myself coughing everytime I open my mouth to talk, or when I try to take a deep breath. The cough is also accompanied by night sweats, mild fever or chills, and just starting today a sore throat. This is gross, but yes I do get phlem…sometimes. It’s so hard to get out but when I do it is either yellowish or green…ewww…sorry guys 
I went to the doctor on Tuesday because I felt like I was going to pass out. He asked the questions while his res tested me…she said that my lungs were clear so he gave me cough medicine and sent me home.
This doesn’t feel like an ordinary cold/flu to me. Feels more like an infection! Anyone out there experience these symptoms before? Should I go back to the doctor, or just chill? Oh, and yes…I have already taken 3 days off work

Any tips on soothing a flu-induced sore throat?

I have the flu, and my throat is hurting like none other. While I know there’s no cure, does anyone know of a spray/drink/medicine/whatever that can deal with the pain? (Advil isn’t helping at all.)
Or, alternatively, can anyone recommend a medicine to make me sleep that won’t negatively interfere with my antibiotics?

I had to take all these medications, and now I’m sick?

Last week I had to get a minor surgery done. My doctor then prescribed me vicodin, and amoxicillin.. Of course the antibitoics gave me a yeast infection so I got Monistat (vaginal medicine) for my infection which i have used in the past, and have been using for three days. I haven’t taken the vicodin in a couple days because I’m not in pain, but I have to finish all the amoxicillin. Now since yesterday I am feeling like I am either getting a bad cold, or the flu. Do you think I should stop using any of my medications until I get to a doctor, or do you think its just a coincidence, and I should continue? help!

ive been sick since sunday and it started out with a nasty cough, and eventually i started getting chills, my head hurts, my nose is runny and today i started to get a fever of around 100.5, the doctor didnt really check me he just prescribed me cough medicine but ive been getting worse, does it sound like i have the flu or just the common cold?

Ok. I’m coming down with the flu. I’m 11 years old and still **** taking medicine. I usually take pills for my age but my mom says it doesn’t work. But it does! It’s helps my head ache, sore throat, aches and pains, stuffy nose, and runny nose. But she won’t let me take it! Anyway, I asked if I could just take my favorite medicine. Motrin. (When I say favorite. I mean the only one that I can tolerate.) But my mom says we’re all out and she has to give me my least favorite! Triaminic. And the worst flavor. Scratch that. 2nd worst favorite. The worst is cheery. We have bubble gum. So I’m forced to take it. But how can I take it without gagging? It even says on the back of the bottle in super small letters, CAN CAUSE NAUSEAUSNESS AND VOMITTING. No wonder I can never hold it down! How can I take it down? My mom says she’ll give it to me before bed. Which is any time between now and 3 hours.

In order to protect my family, exactly what can I do to prepare us for the bird flu pandemic in North America?

What supplies should we have? And how much for a family of 10? Should we be prepared to quarantine ourselves for at least 3 to 6 months once the Avian Flu is in our area of the US? If most of the normal daily functions in our society are interrupted, won’t this cause the people who didn’t prepare themselves to act out in abnormal ways, such as threatening others and stealing when they run out of what little food and medicine, etc. they had in their homes? And with police and other law enforcement agencies looking out for their own families and quarantining themselves, too, won’t we have to be in a position to protect ourselves and our families from those that could try to do us harm because they are desparate to provide for their own families?

cold/flu question?

Is there anything other than take cold medicine or take a hot shower or rest. That will help with a cold? I want to feel better. Every thing I have tryed is not working.
