Flu shot, feeling sick later question?

I just got a flu shot and now my mom is freaking me out by telling me that im going to get/ feel the effects of the flu tomorrow. I know that has happened with those who got the shot with the live virus but i just got the one without the live virus in it. The Doctor said you can’t get the flu form the shot but my mom seems to think he’s wrong and i’d really like to not be sick because i jsut got over a cold

my question is, with the version of the shot that i got (non-living virus) do i have a chance of getting/ feelings as though i have the flu tomorrow?? If so how long will it last? =/

I took off 2 weeks ago for my mom and now I’m sick. I am scared to take off will it jeopardize my job?

I took off 2 weeks ago for 2 days due to my mom having surgery and today I am sick. I am scared to take off for fear that my boss may want to fire me. I really don’t know what to do I have the flu and feel horrible…. But I am scared.
I did ask him if me leaving early today would jeppardize my job? He said no but I am still scared.

yesterday i woke up with 102 fever and today i woke up with 104 fever so my mom took me to the hospital and they said i had pneumonia

I actually do feel terrible, but my mom doesn’t keep me home unless i have a 102 -__- how can I brink my temp. up on an electronic thermometer when my mom is around?

What do you think the likely-hood of me getting it this year is. I’m terrified of it (well actually, I’m terrified, like tramatized by throwing up).
I am at college, I use a bathroom with other girls, but I always put on hand sanitizer, wash my hands everytime i go to the bathroom, after everything and before I will even touch food going into my mouth. I’m very careful.
Also, I got a flu shot this year. Last year when I got the flu, my sister and my mom caught it, but they didn’t throw up. Does the shot lessen the effects of the stomach flu? And, do I still have an immunity from last year?

Can playing in dead leave make children sick?

My mom says that everytime I played outside in piled up leaves I would get sick. Now, I have a daughter of my own who has asthma and I worry about this. I have not let her jump in leaves for fear that they could make her sick. I am looking for specific articles or suggestions from websites, doctors, ect. proving that playing in dead leaves can make children sick. Thanks.

Has my ferret caught the flu from me?

I just got a new ferret last week and he has been hyper and curious as any ferret should, however he has been at my mom’s house for two days where she said he was fine and normal. I had gotten sick from a freind and now the ferret is looking a little down as well… He has been itching and biting himself, under his eyes is a little watery, his breathing while he is sleeping isn’t very even, and he has been sneezing quite a bit. Do you think he caught the flu from me or has he caught something else?

Should I get the flu shot?

I’m debating if I should get the flu shot this year. I’m 13 and a girl if that’s relevant. I don’t really like needles and I’m a big baby and start crying when I have to get one. Still, I would knowingly torture myself to get a needed shot. I’ve gotten sick this year a few times and I get sick all the time so I think it might be good for me but I’m open to opinions if I should or should not get the flu shot. My mother says I don’t really need one but if I want one she’ll take me to get it. (I have all my needed and recommended shots except Gardisil.(My doctor, my mom, and I think it’s a bad idea and not needed.) ) Right now I’m probably not going to get the shot until I hear more good outweighing the bad about getting the flu shot. Thanks!
